Despite the effects of the COVID 19 Outbreak and the ongoing Russian- Ukraine War,

in 2022, Cambodia’s economy has gradually recovered to normal situation due to reopening of economic activity mainly supported by the increased trade activity.

As a result, SAMAKY CAPITAL PLC. (Formerly known as Samaky Microfinance Institution Plc. has a higher portfolio risk rate, but despite this situation, SAMAKY CAPITAL PLC is still able to maintain its operation accordingly. Meanwhile, we, the shareholders, have observed that almost all of the banking sector has gradually improved compared to 2021.

We, the shareholders, hope that in 2023, we will be better and more financially stable as usual to reduce the poverty of our customers effectively.

On behalf of the shareholders, I would like to thank the officers of the National Bank of Cambodia, relevant ministries, as well as the Board of Directors, management and staffs who have worked hard to help the institution in this difficult time.
